The Snapshot feature allows you to create an exact image of a virtual machine as it exists at the time the snapshot is taken. If the virtual machine encounters an irreversible problem, for example, important files are permanently deleted, or the operating system becomes corrupted, you can revert a virtual machine to its snapshot. Reverting to the snapshot brings the virtual machine back to the state it was in when the snapshot was taken. You can also revert from a snapshot if you no longer wish to use the virtual machine in its snapshot state.
