System Requirements for the NetApp Storage Array

Before you configure your storage array, verify that your system meets the following requirements.

Licenses

Install the following licenses.

Ports

For snapshot-based operations, open port 443 (HTTPS) for communication between the NetApp server and CommServe computer, MediaAgent, access node or remote snapshot MediaAgent in your CommCell environment.
For SnapDiff V2 and V3, open port 2049 (NFS) for communication between the NetApp server and CommServe computer, MediaAgent, access node, or remote snapshot MediaAgent in your CommCell environment to transfer the file list information over NFS.
For NetApp open replication with SnapMirror cloud, open the following ports for communication between the NetApp cluster and the the object store destination:
- Port 443 (HTTPS) for all the vendors
- Port 10443 (HTTPS) for StorageGRID.

Licenses for Commvault IntelliSnap for NetApp

When you install the CIFN Enabler License, the backup copy job that is run from the NetApp snap engine is excluded from the backup capacity license calculation.
