Adding the Commvault Database Agent to the Amazon RDS Virtualization Client

After you create the Amazon RDS Virtualization client computer, add the Commvault database agent to the Amazon RDS virtualization client computer where you perform the backup operations and the restore operations.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers.

2. Right-click the Amazon RDS virtualization client, point to All Tasks > Add Database Agent > Database.

   Where:

   Database: The database agent to install such as, MySQL.

   The Agent Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the Cloud Configuration tab, add the proxy server:

   1. Click Add.

      The Select Clients/Client Groups dialog box appears.

   2. Under Exclude, select the proxy server that is in the Amazon cloud, and then click Include.

   3. Click OK.

4. Click OK.
