Additional Settings for Opening Remote Log Files from GxTail

To open remote log files in GxTail, or download them to a local computer, you must add either the nEnableRemoteFileReader additional setting or the sAllowedRemoteLogFileReaders additional setting to the remote computer.

Procedure

• To the remote computer, add either the nEnableRemoteFileReader or the sAllowedRemoteLogFileReaders additional settings as follows:

  Additional setting	Category	Type	Value
  nEnableRemoteFileReader	CVD	Integer	0: Disabled 1: Enabled
  sAllowedRemoteLogFileReaders	CVD	String	Client name of remote computer that is allowed to view or download the log files
