You can archive files based on file extensions or file types.
Before You Begin
The following file extensions are included in the File Type list:

By default, the following file types are added in the File Type list:

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > archive_set.

Right-click the archiving_subclient, and then click Properties.
The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

On the Content tab, specify the subclient content.

From the subclient content, to archive only the files that match specific file extensions or file types, on the Archiving Rules tab, complete the following steps:

On the General subtab, click Add to List.
The Add file types dialog box appears.

To archive file extensions that are not included in the File Types list by default, in the Custom file type box, enter the file extensions.
You can enter multiple file extensions separated by a semi-colon. For example, *.txt;*.jpg;*.png.

Click OK.
The file extensions that you entered are displayed as check boxes in the File Type list.
Note
Only the selected file types are protected and archived. Files with other file extensions or file types are filtered. If you unselect all file types, the archiving job processes all files regardless of the file type.

On the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy tab, select a storage policy from the Storage Policy list.

Click OK.
