Backing Up the Index Server

You can perform a full back up operation on the Index Server. We recommend that you schedule the backup to run once a week.

Procedure

  1. Enable backup operations on the index server:

    1. In the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computer Groups > Index Servers.

    2. Right-click the index server, and then click Properties.

      The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

    3. On the Activity Control tab, select the Enable backup check box.

    4. Click OK.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Backup.

    The Backup Options dialog box appears.

  3. Under Job Initiation, define whether the backup job runs immediately or whether it is scheduled.

  4. Click OK.
