Use the backup operation to protect your data.
Before You Begin
-
If the content of the subclients overlap, then the backup of each share is done individually.
-
After you create a backup copy either inline, or offline, the last snapshot backup job which was backup copied is retained in addition to the regular retention.
-
CIFS subclient user must have rights to read/write to the local path of the proxy computer.
-
For IntelliSnap backups, the application size shown in the job history can change after you run the Backup Copy job.
-
The initial snap backup reports the used volume or LUN size.
-
After the Backup Copy job runs, the application size for both the snap job and the Backup Copy job may update to a much smaller value.
By design, IntelliSnap tracks size metrics, and the accurate application size is available only after the Backup Copy job determines it.
Procedure
-
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > NAS client > file system agent > backup set.
-
Right-click a subclient, and then click Backup.
The Backup Options for Subclient dialog box appears.
-

-
In the Job Initiation area, click Immediate, and then click OK.
