Use the following guidelines to create the Storage Policies accessing the Commvault VTL 2.0 libraries:

Hardware compression should be enabled on Storage Policies accessing the Commvault VTL 2.0 libraries.
Check the compression settings as described in Configuring Hardware Compression.

Both Hardware and software encryption should be disabled on Storage Policies accessing the Commvault VTL 2.0 libraries.
Check the hardware encryption settings as described in Configuring Hardware Encryption.
Check your software encryption settings as described in Configuring Software Encryption on a Primary Copy. (Make sure that the Encrypt Data option is disabled.)

Recommended block size for Commvault VTL 2.0 libraries is 256 KB.
Block size is, by default, set to 256 KB. Block sizes can be modified from the Data Path Properties dialog box available from the Data Paths tab of the Copy Properties dialog box.
