Configuration for MySQL

Once the MySQL Agent is installed, configure the MySQL Server and subclient as follows:

1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <Client>.

2. Right-click MySQL, point to All Tasks, and then click New MySQL Server.

   The MySQL Create Instance dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, perform the following.

   1. In the Server Name box, type a name for the new MySQL instance that you are creating.

   2. In the Version box, enter the MySQL database server version.

   3. The Endpoint box displays the endpoint that the software uses to connect to the MySQL instance.

   4. Click the Credential list, and then click Create New to add a new credential.

   5. From the Storage policy list, select the storage policy that you want to use for backup operations.

4. Click OK.
