Configuring Backup Based on Connectivity to Metered or Mobile Network Setting

By default, laptop backups are triggered when laptops are connected to a metered or a mobile network connection.

You can choose to disable laptop backups when a wireless network is marked as "metered".

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Schedule Policies.

2. Right-click the laptop_schedule_policy, and then click Edit.

3. In the Tasks section, select the schedule_task, and then click Edit.

   The Backup Task Options dialog box appears.

4. On the Schedule Pattern tab, select Automatic.

5. On the Laptop tab, in the Network Management section, select the Do not use a network configured as metered check box.

6. Click OK.
