You can configure your MediaAgent as an iSCSI server to create instant clones for database applications.
The iSCSI server requires a dedicated volume to cache the data that is being read, and to store the changed data on clone mounts. On the MediaAgent that you choose as the iSCSI server, configure a volume mount path.
Before You Begin
Review System Requirements for iSCSI Server.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers.

Right-click the MediaAgent client, and then click Properties.
The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

Click Advanced.
The Advanced Client Properties dialog box appears.

On the General tab, in the Block Level Client Cache Directory box, type the volume mount path that you will use as the cache for the iSCSI server.
The size of the volume is based on the amount of data involved in the clone.

Click OK.
