Configuring Password-less Access To Control Host

The disk space on the Control Host gets full with dump files etc. and might require regular cleanup. You can use the following procedure to set up a password-less access to the Control Host from the HyperScale 1.5 Appliance nodes, so that MediaAgent can clean up the disk space at regular interval.

Applies to: Setups that are upgraded from Version 11 Service Pack 13 or Service Pack 14.

Procedure

1. Login to a node.

2. Navigate to the following folder:

   /opt/commvault/Base
   

3. Run the following command:

   ./CVSDS -p -N controlhost.host.com

   Password for controlhost.host.com :

   ************

   Where:

   controlhost.host.com is the FQDN of the Control Host.

4. Repeat these steps from the other nodes in the HyperScale Storage Pool.
