Use this dialog box to select nodes for a Microsoft Azure client. The Microsoft Azure client uses the selected nodes to perform backup jobs.
Any client computer that has the Virtual Server Agent installed on it can be selected as a node.
Client Name: Enter a name for the Azure client that will appear in the CommCell Browser.
Connect Using Managed Identity: For Azure Resource Manager deployments, click this to enable Managed Identity authentication. For more information, see Setting Up Managed Identity Authentication for Azure Resource Manager.
Subscription ID: Enter the subscription ID associated with your Azure account.
Tenant ID: For Azure Resource Manager deployments, enter the tenant ID associated with the virtualization client.
Application ID: For Azure Resource Manager deployments, enter the application ID associated with the tenant.
Application Password: For Azure Resource Manager deployments, enter the password for the application in this box and in the Application Confirm Password box.
Storage Policy: From the Storage Policy list, select a storage policy to associate with the virtualization client. The storage policy you select is also associated with the default subclient that is created automatically for the virtualization client.
Add: Click to add proxies to the Azure client. You can add any computer as a proxy if it has the Virtual Server Agent installed. You must add at least one proxy to the Azure client.
Remove: Select a proxy from the list of proxies and click this button to remove the selected proxies from the virtualization client.
Clients / Client Groups: Displays the list of clients or client groups which are included as proxies in the Azure client.
Save as Script: Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.
Select Clients/Client Groups
Exclude: This list displays all clients that have the Virtual Server Agent installed. If the clients are members of a client group, the name of the group also appears in the list.
Include / Include All: Click this button to include the selected clients or client groups in the list of nodes.
Include: This is a list of clients or client groups that are included as nodes in the Microsoft Azure client.
Exclude/ Exclude All: Click this button to exclude the selected clients or client groups from the list of nodes.
