Creating an Amazon RDS for Oracle Instance

After you add the Commvault Oracle software to the client, create an instance that corresponds to the Amazon RDS instance.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Oracle.

2. Right-click the agent, point to All Tasks > New Instance.

   The Creating New Instance dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, specify the following information:

   1. From the Instance Name list, select the Amazon RDS instance

   2. In the Connect String box, type the Oracle connect string for the Amazon RDS instance.

   3. From the Storage policy used for the default data subclient list, select the storage policy.

4. Click OK.
