Deleting a Disk Library Without Backup Data

You can delete a disk library that does not contain backup data. If you shared the disk library with a MediaAgent that is online with write access, then the delete operation deletes the disk library from the CommServe database and the disk library folders from the physical storage. Otherwise, the delete operation deletes only the disk library from the CommServe database.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Storage Resources > Libraries.

2. Right-click the library that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

3. Confirm the delete operation.

   • If you shared the disk library with a MediaAgent that is online with write access, then the following dialog box appears.

     

     Click Yes.

   • Otherwise, the following dialog box appears.

     

     Enter Delete Library, and then click OK.
