If you want to perform block-level backup operations on a SQL database, then you must select the Optimize for table level restore check box at the subclient level.
Procedure

From the CommCell Console, click Client Computers > client > SQL Server > instance.

Right-click a subclient for which you want to enable block-level backup operations, and then click Properties.
The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

On the Advanced Options tab, select the Optimize for table level restore check box.
A message appears that tells you that the next backup will be converted to a full backup.

Click OK to close the message.

Click OK.
