Enabling a Log Storage Policy

You can create a log storage policy for the log backups. This configuration has following advantages:

• You can utilize storage resources efficiently

• You do not have to manually select log storage policy for each subclient. For all the subclients that are associated to the data storage policy, the log backups are automatically routed to the associated log storage policy.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Policies > Storage Policies > storage_policy.

2. Right-click the storage policy and then click Properties.

   The Storage Policy Properties dialog box appears.

3. Select the Log Storage Policy check box, to enable the log storage policy and select a storage policy from the list of available storage policies.

   The selected storage policy will be used for performing log backups.

4. Click OK.
