Step 2: Install the Virtual Server Agent

You must install the Virtual Server Agent. Review the following topic to get started with the installation. For more information, see Deployment -IntelliSnap for VMware.

Step 3: Select the Storage Array

Step 4: Prepare for You First Backup and Restore

1. Open the CommCell Console.

2. Configure a storage device. For more information, see the following:

   • Disk Libraries

   • Tape Libraries

3. Configure a Storage Policy for the backups.

   Best Practice: Set the storage policy data retention to 14 or more days and 2 cycles.
