Pending Backup Jobs On HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Library
Symptom
Backups to a HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Library are in Pending with the message Failed to contact MediaAgent Service.
Resolution

Check the HPECatalyst log to see if the following error is reported:
OSCLT_ERR_NOT_LICENSED
This error is reported when there is an invalid or expired license.

Check and verify the StoreOnce license and if necessary, apply the proper licenses.

Rerun the backup job.
Managing Log Files
The HPECatalyst_DEBUGLEVEL and HPECatalyst_MAXLOGFILESIZE additional settings can be used to increase the log verbosity and the log file size for troubleshooting purposes, and conversely, to decrease the log file size and verbosity once the troubleshooting is complete.

To the MediaAgent computer associated with the HPE StoreOnce Catalyst library, add the HPECatalyst_MAXLOGFILESIZE and HPECatalyst_DEBUGLEVEL additional settings as shown in the following table.
