Use this dialog box to configure an HTTP proxy server to access internet and intranet resources (URLs) for all clients in the CommCell environment.
Based on your environment, features such as Sending Log Files, Download Software, Push Installation, Cloud Metrics Reporting, and Webhook may need HTTP proxy. Please configure HTTP proxy as shown below.
Use HTTP Proxy Server
When selected, you can specify the HTTP proxy server details, which includes the port number and a user account. If you already defined the proxy server details for Metrics Reporting, and you want to update the settings, you must close and reopen the Web Console to verify the changes.
-
Proxy Server
The hostname or IP address of the proxy server.
-
Proxy Port
The port number that will be used to establish connections with the proxy server.
-
Use Authentication
When selected, you can specify user credentials that are required to access the proxy server.
-
User Name
The user name to access the proxy server.
-
Password
The password for the user name that you specified.
-
Confirm Password
Retype the password for confirmation.

Note
Based on your environment, some features, such as the Custom Report Engine, Private Metrics Reporting, Scheduled reports, and REST calls to Web Console URLs (such as MongoDB readiness), may or may not need HTTP proxy. If HTTP proxy is not needed for these features in your environment, then consider bypassing those intranet URLs going via the HTTP proxy by specifying the addresses in the Proxy bypass list field on the Server Groups page. For more information, see Step 7 in the procedure in Configuring an HTTP Proxy for a Server Group.
