Locating the Client Name

In the CommCell Console, you can view the unique client identifier. In versions prior to Commvault Platform Release 2023E (11.32), this identifier is referred to as the client name. You can use the client identifier for command line operations, REST API requests, and other administrative tasks.

Procedure

1. In the CommCell Browser, open Client Computers.

2. Right-click the name of the client.

   Note

   The name that appears in the CommCell Browser is the display name, not the client name.

3. In the Client Computer Properties dialog box, in the General tab under Client Name, use the value in the Client Identifier field.
