You can can execute the VSA V1 to V2 Migration workflow on the CommCell Console to migrate virtualization clients from Indexing Version 1 to the latest version of indexing.
Note

When migrating a VSA client to V2 with this workflow, you cannot have a client group listed as an access node, or the migration will fail.

You cannot schedule this workflow to run at a user-defined time. The job will fail.
You can migrate only virtualization clients using this workflow.
Before You Begin

Review the information about supported hypervisors, what is not migrated, and limitations.

Run a full backup or synthetic full backup (whichever is applicable) prior to upgrading a virtualization client to the latest version of indexing.

Verify that the Workflow Engine is installed on the CommServe server.

From the Commvault Store, download the VSA V1 to V2 Migration workflow.

Stop all jobs on the virtualization clients that you want to migrate.

If you are backing up to tape media, you must have the last cycle's tapes on site before you migrate to the latest version of indexing.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser go to Workflows, right-click VSA V1 to V2 Migration, point to All Tasks, and then click Execute.
The VSA V1 to V2 migration Options dialog box appears.

From the Run workflow on list, select the Workflow Engine that you want to use to perform the workflow.

To migrate all Indexing Version 1 virtualization clients to the latest version of indexing, leave both of the following check boxes selected:

Clone configuration from V1 client

Disable backup activity on the V1 virtual server agent post migration

To notify users in addition to the administrator when this workflow completes, in the Specify email addresses of any other users to be reported box, enter email addresses.

Click OK.
