Modifying the IP Address for the File Recovery Enabler Client

If you assigned a private network, the IP address for the private network is used as the host name for the client that is created in the CommCell Console. After associating a floating IP address, modify the client properties:

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand the Client Computers tree.

2. Right-click the client for the File Recovery Enabler, and then select Properties.

   The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, click Edit.

   The Edit Client Name Dialog box appears.

4. Change the Host Name value to the floating IP address for the File Recovery Enabler instance.

5. Click OK to save the host name.

6. Click OK to save the client properties.
