Use this dialog box to control how the specified data is to be restored.
Restore Options
-
Unconditional Overwrite
Specifies whether the restored data is unconditionally written to the specified location and will overwrite any database files with the same names. Select this option to perform an in-place restore (that is, restore a database to its original location), and the database that you are restoring already exists in that location.
-
Wait for resources
Specifies whether this restore operation must wait until resources become available if a database recovery is already taking place (that is, if transaction logs are in the process of being restored for another database.)
-
Change database instance ID (DBIID)
Specifies whether the Domino must change the DBIID associated with the restored database. This is required if this database already exists on the Domino. Two databases with the same DBIID cannot exist on the same Domino. Select this option if you want to perform an out-of-place restore and the database that you are restoring already exists in the Domino data path. (Change database instance ID if necessary option can also be selected to perform an out-of-place restore.)
-
Change database replica ID
Specifies whether the restore operation changes the replica id of the restored database. Note that a database restored with a new replica id will no longer receive or send changes during future replication.
-
Change database instance ID (DBIID) if necessary
Specifies whether the Domino can change the DBIID associated with the restored database, if another database with the same DBIID already exists. (Two databases with the same DBIID cannot exist on the same Domino.) Select this option if you want to perform an out-of-place restore and the database that you are restoring already exists in the Domino data path. (Change database instance ID (DBIID) option can also be selected to perform an out-of-place restore.)
-
Do not replay transaction logs
Select this option to skip restoring or replaying logs when the database is restored.
Restore Destination
Destination Client/Computer/Server
Displays the name of the client computer to which the selected data will be restored. To change the destination computer, select one from the list. The list includes clients:
-
Which are established as clients within the CommCell.
-
Clients with Operating Systems that support the cross-platform restore operation from this client. (Refer to the topic titled Cross Platform Restore Operations in Books Online for additional information.)
By default, data is restored to the same computer from which it was backed up.
Restore/Recover to same folder
Specifies whether the restore operation will restore data to the same folder from which it was backed up in the Destination client. (Clear this option to restore to a different folder.)
If this option is selected:
-
Data is restored to the common data path, if the source and the destination computers have a partition with the same data path.
-
Data will be restored to the first partition, if all partitions on the destination computer are different from the source computer.
Specify destination path
Use this space to enter or browse the path on the destination computer to which the data will be restored. If the specified path does not exist, it will be created during the restore process.Out-of-place restores always carry the relative path of the database. For example, if the database computers.nsf located under the folder inventory is restored to F:\building, it is restored to the following path: F:\building\inventory\computers.nsf.
Advanced
Click to select additional restore options.
Save As Script
Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.
When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters.
For more information on restores performed from the command line, see Command Line Interface for Notes Database iDataAgent.
Version
Use this dialog box to view the iDataAgent version.
Installed Date
Displays the date on which the agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer or application server.
