Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for the OES File System agent.
Operating System
Important
-
Use the most recent version of the operating system that is listed. The Commvault software fully supports the most recent version of an operating system, until the vendor ends support. More recent versions of the Commvault software might not install on operating systems that are not supported by the vendor anymore. For information about the support lifecycle of an operating system, contact the vendor.
-
You must configure Novell TCP/IP Services.
-
If you want to use the Target Service Agents, you must install and configure the Novell Storage Management Service.
-
You must have some form of name resolution between your CommServe server, OES Linux computer, and MediaAgent. Also, configure DNS services on the OES Linux computer.
-
Use the OES File System Agent to protect the data on NSS volumes on an OES Linux computer. To protect the data on a POSIX File System, use the Linux File System Agent.
