You can perform a logical data pump backup of the data. When you perform a backup operation, the Commvault software invokes the MySQL mysqldump client utility to perform the backup operation.
You can perform only a full backup operation.

You can only back up user-defined databases. System databases are not backed up.

You can not back up InnoDB data.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > MySQL > instance.

Right-click the subclient that you created, and then click Backup
The Backup Options dialog box appears.

On the Backup Options tab, select the backup type and job initiation:

In the Select Backup Type area, select Full.

In the Job Initiation section, specify when to run the backup operation:

To run the job immediately, select Immediate.

To schedule the job, select Schedule, and then configure the schedule.
