Use this procedure to:

Restore the databases to the Greenplum Database system master host that is different from the backup
-
Restore the databases to the Greenplum Database system master host that is the same as the backup, but the number of segment host has changed since you performed the backup
The Commvault software automatically handles this when you start a restore. The software checks if the number of segment hosts in the destination is the same as the number of hosts in the backup. If they are not the same, the software uses the psql command to perform the restore.
Note
The destination must have a Greenplum version that is the same or higher than the source.
Before You Begin

Plan the configuration for the restore operations. After selecting the data that you want to restore, you will need to set the Advanced Restore Options for the restore operation.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Greenplum > instance.

Right-click the subclient, point to All Tasks and then click Browse and Restore.

On the Browse and Restore dialog box, select Latest Backup and click View Content.

Optional: Use non-default Browse and Restore options. See Browse and Restore.

From the Browse window, select the database to restore in the right pane and click Recover All Selected.
The Restore Options dialog box is displayed.

On the General tab:
- Select the new master host from the Destination Client list.

Click OK to close the Restore Options dialog box and start the restore.
