By default, log files are truncated during backups. You can prevent log files from being truncated to preserve their original state.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Exchange Database.

Right-click Exchange Database, and then click Properties.
The Exchange Database Properties dialog box appears.

Select the Copy Backup check box.

Click OK.
Note
If the Copy Backup check box is selected with consistency check enabled, the EDB file does not get checked, and the Exchange transaction log is not truncated for full backups.
