Recovering Archived Data for Administrators

You can restore archived files from the CommCell Console.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > archive_set.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

    The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. On the Browse page, select the files or folders that you want to restore.

  5. Click Recover All Selected.

    The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

  6. To prevent the existing files from being overwritten, clear the Overwrite Files and Restore to Same Folder check boxes.

  7. To restore the data instead of stub, select the Restore Data instead of stub check box.

  8. Select the Impersonate User check box, and then enter the same credentials that you provided when you created your subclient.

  9. To specify the destination path, click the Browse button.

  10. Optional: To further customize the restore operation, click Advanced.

  11. Click OK.
