Important: Before restoring databases, run a latest SQL backup operation on SolarWinds databases. This is because running a restore operation might permanently change you database.
By default, the SolarWinds instance has a unique name, that is solarwinds_orion. You can use this instance to schedule backup operations for SolarWinds databases. Usually, name of SolarWinds databases is SolarWindsOrion.
Following are the high-level steps to restore SolarWinds databases:

Log on to the Orion Server.

To stop all the Orion services, from your Windows desktop, follow these steps:

Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager.
The Orion Service Manager window appears.

Click Shutdown Everything.

Restore the latest or a previous backup to a new or an existing server as per your requirement.

To refresh files on the web server and perform checks on the structure of your database, run the SolarWinds Configuration Wizard.
