Restoring Volumes from Block-Level Snapshot Backups

You can browse and select a volume to restore from a snapshot copy. Note that the destination volume must be at least as large as the volume from which the data was backed up. This is true regardless of the amount of data that is actually restored.

If the size of the destination volume is bigger than the source volume, the file system size on the destination volume after the restore operation will be less than the actual device size. You must manually resize the file system on the destination volume.

Warning: Do not run a volume-level restore if the destination volume has operating system files. Volume-level restores overwrite the destination volume.
