Before You Begin

Before you select a pre-defined provisioning policy in the following procedure, see Provisioning Policies.

Note: After you create the destination volume, you cannot edit the settings on the Provisioning tab of the Snap Copy Properties: Primary (Snap) dialog box in following procedure.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Storage Policies > storage policy.

  2. Right-click Primary (Snap), and then click Properties.

The Storage Policy Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the Provisioning tab, click Refresh to display the OnCommand Unified Manager (OCUM) entities, and then select a provisioning policy from the Provisioning Policy list.

  4. In the Resource Pools area, select resource pools from the Available list.

  5. To create the volume, select the vFiler check box, and then, from the vFiler list, select a vFilercomputer.

To display the vFiler computer that is associated with the selected resource pools, click Refresh.

  6. Click OK.

Result

OCUM creates a single destination volume on the selected resource pools and on the selected vFiler.
