Skipping the Mode Check on the Archive Database

Note: This setting is not applicable when you use the parquet format to archive the data.

This task applies to the subclient on the archive database.

The Commvault Oracle archiving process expects the archive database instance to be in NOARCHIVELOG mode to reduce the archive log generation during archiving. If this is not the case, the archiving job will fail with an error. For any reason, if setting NOARCHIVELOG mode is not possible, set this Additional Setting to "Y" to disable the check.

Procedure

  • On the archive database client computer, add the sSkipArchiveLogModeCheck additional setting as shown in the following table.
