Using the Get and Process Authorization Operation in the CommCell Console

The Get and Process Authorization operation handles the authorization process. Use this operation to specify who authorizes the request, and other details.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Workflows.

2. To enable a user or user group (other than the Master user group) to authorize or to authenticate requests, do the following:

   1. Right-click the Get and Process Authorization workflow, and then click Properties.

   2. On the Configuration tab, select the user or user group:

      • Users who can authenticate the request: The selected users can authenticate or authorize requests.

      • User groups which can authenticate the request: The users of the selected user groups can authenticate or authorize requests.

      • Default approvers user group: The users of the selected user group can authenticate or authorize requests. The default value is Master user group. If no user and user group is specified in any of the configuration properties, then the users of master group are considered as approvers.

      • Default timeout for authorization: If the authorization request is not authorized after the selected time elapses, then the authorization request expires.

3. Click OK.
