Symptom
When performing a file-level restore that includes a symbolic link file, the restore completes with errors.
Cause
File-level restores are not supported for symbolic link files when using the Collect File Details option for backups of Linux VMs.
Resolution
Use the Live File Recovery method to restore a symbolic link file. See Live File Recovery for more details.
To enable Live File Recovery even when the Collect File Details option is selected, you can configure the nEnforceLivebrowse additional setting on the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) proxy.
