A user-defined plan can be setup to perform the SQL LiveSync operation.
By default, the System created for failover plan is used by the SQL Server subclient to perform the LiveSync replication. This default plan has the retention set to 15 days, 15 cycles.
Before You Begin
Create the storage policy from CommCell Console.
Recommended:
Create the storage policy using a MediaAgent available in the standby site.
Create a dedicated, non deduplicated storage policy for the LiveSync operation.
Procedure
From the navigation pane, go to Manage > System.
The System page appears.
Click the CommServe LiveSync tile.
The CommServe LiveSync page appears.
In the Replication section, click the Edit button displayed for Plan.
From the list, select that plan that you want to use to run backup and restore operations for the active node.
Click Save.
