Process for Configuring Block-level Replication for File System Agents

You can configure block-level replication of file system volumes from one or more source servers to file system volumes of one more destination servers.

Replication requires configuration of the following elements:

  1. Decide if you want to perform a latest recovery or a point in time recovery. For more information, see Latest Recovery and Point in time Recovery Operations.

    To perform a point in time recovery, you must configure the Recovery Point Store.

  2. Install the Block-level Replication package. For more information, see Installing the Block-Level Replication Package.

  3. Create a replication pair. For more information, see Configuring Recovery Group for Volumes.

  4. After configuring replication, you can use the Recovery Monitor to check the status of replication.
