Enabling Block-Level Backups for PostgreSQL Databases

You can enable block-level backup on a default database group of an FS based backup set.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Instances page appears.

  2. Click an instance.

    The instance page appears.

  3. In the Backup sets section, click FSBasedBackupSet.

    The FSBasedBackupSet page appears.

  4. Under Database groups, click default.

    The default page appears.

  5. Expand the General section, and then move the Use volume copy (Block level backup) toggle key to the right.

    Under the Snapshot management section, by default, IntelliSnap is enabled with native snap engine that you can change later.
