To migrate a SQL database application to an Azure Resource Manager instance, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Install Workflow Engine Package

Configure Workflow Engine package on any of the client. For more information about installing a package, see Installing the Commvault Package.

Step 2: Create an Azure Account

Create an Azure account that contains Azure Virtual Machine Image. For more information, see Configuring the Azure Resource Manager Instance.

Step 3: Configure the Source Client

Complete the following tasks for the source SQL client:

  1. Add the source client to the Command Center.

  2. Run a full backup of the SQL database. For more information, see SQL Backup Operations.
