Allowing a Company to Configure Their Own Storage

You can allow tenant administrators to use their own storage infrastructure or to use both rented storage and their own storage. By default, the company rents shared storage from the service provider.

Procedure

  1. Create a custom installation package that includes a MediaAgent, a file system agent, and a virtualization agent.

    For more information about creating the custom installation package, see Creating a Custom Package.

  2. Upload the installation package to the Download Center on your Web Console.

    For more information about uploading the package to the Download Center, see Repositories.

    The tenant administrator must download and install this package on their client computer.

  3. To the Web Console computer, add the additional settings as shown in the following table.

  1. If you want to allow the tenant administrator to configure their own storage and not use any rented storage, you must disassociate any existing plans for the company.

  2. Update the storage settings for the company on the Command Center.
