HyperScale nodes must adhere to the following network requirements:
Must be located in the same datacenter
Data protection and storage pool interfaces in different subnets
Storage pool interfaces within the same subnet and VLAN
Check the hardware to make sure that the hardware is functioning properly, including the following:
Power supply
Fans
No failed hard drives
Note: Firmware on all the HyperScale nodes are the same and match the latest firmware version provided by the vendor. Commvault does NOT test every firmware release and defers to the Original Equipment Manufacturer for recommended firmware levels.
Use the following worksheet to record the hostnames and IP addresses required for HyperScale X Reference Architecture node installation and configuration.
Site Name | |||
DNS Server 1 IP address | |||
DNS Server 2 IP address | |||
Data Protection Network Netmask
Data Protection Network Default Gateway

* Each node will need DNS resolvable hostname for the data-protection IP assigned to it. Host names must be fully qualified domain names (FQDN).
** The private inter-node storage network IP's can be non-routable.
