Creating a Classification Model

You can create and train classification models to recognize types of documents.

Before You Begin

Create a .zip file that contains at least 50 files that are good representations of the type of document the classifier is being trained to recognize. To improve the accuracy of the classifier, add more than 50 files to the .zip file. The maximum size for the .zip file is 500 MB.

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Activate.

    The Activate page appears.

  2. Under Settings, click the Entity Manager tile.

    The Entity manager page appears.

  3. On the Classifiers tab, in the upper-right area of the page, click Add classifier.

    The Create classifier page appears.

  4. If you have multiple content analyzers, from the Content analyzer list, select the content analyzer to use to train the classification model.

  5. Enter a name and a description.

  6. Click Next.

The Specify training dataset page appears.

  7. Next to Sample documents, click Upload.

  8. Upload the .zip file.

  9. Click Next.

    The Start training page appears.

  10. Click Finish.

The training status appears on the classification model properties page in the Training section.

What to Do Next

After the classification model is trained, add the classifier to a data classification plan.

When the data classification plan is added to a Sensitive Data Governance project, classification information is available on the data source dashboard.
