The big data guided setup guides you through creating a server plan and adding a Cassandra cluster.
Go to the Big Data Guided Setup
From the navigation pane, go to Guided setup.
The Welcome page appears.
On the Protect tab, at the bottom of the page, click More.
Click the Big data apps tile.
The Big data app setup page appears.
If you already completed the guided setup, the Apps page appears.
Create a Server Plan that You Can Use for Cassandra
If you already have a server backup plan that you can use, you can skip this step.
On the Create server backup plan page, specify the settings for a server plan that you can use for the Cassandra cluster.

Add a Cassandra Cluster
When you add a cluster, a default data center is automatically created. You can create more data centers for data that has different backup requirements.
From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.
The Apps page appears.
Click Add cluster, and then select Cassandra.
The Add Cassandra cluster dialog box appears.
In the Name box, type a name for the cluster.
From the Gateway node list, select the Cassandra node that you want the Commvault software to connect to.
In the Cassandra configuration file path box, type or browse the path to the Cassandra configuration file.
From the Plan list, select the server plan to use for the Cassandra cluster.
In the CQL port box, type the port number used for CQL connections.
In the JMX port box, type the port number used for JMX connections.
Note: You can enable authentications only if they are enabled on the cluster.
To authenticate using CQL, under Authentication settings for CQL, do the following:
In the Username box, enter the username for CQL shell.
In the Password box, enter the password for CQL shell user.
To authenticate using JMX, under Authentication settings for JMX, do the following:
In the Username box, enter the username for Cassandra JMX.
In the Password box, enter the password for Cassandra JMX user.
To authenticate using SSL, under Authentication settings for SSL, do the following:
In the Keystore box, enter the path to the keystore file, including the filename.
For example, /etc/dse/cassandra/client.keystore
In the Keystore password box, enter the password for the keystore.
In the Truststore box, enter the path to the truststore file, including the filename.
For example, /etc/dse/cassandra/client.truststore.
In the Truststore password box, enter the password for the truststore.
Note: The path and the password for keystore and truststore must be the same on all Cassandra nodes.
