Supported Operations

When you assign a Copy Data Management server plan to an Oracle client, the following operations include Copy Data Management:

• Back up a database.

• Enable backup copies at the plan level to retain long term selective jobs.

• Clone a database. You can create instant clones from a snapshot copy or from the remote copy.

• Restore a database.

When you assign a Copy Data Management server plan to an Oracle client, a Copy Data Management backup job runs. By default, the Copy Data Management job runs as a snapshot job. The ArchiveLog backup runs streaming RMAN log backups, and automatic log backups are based on the configured RPO.
