Restoring a File to a File Location in Teams

You can restore a file to a file location instead of restoring it to a file in the same location. You cannot restore wikis or posts to a file.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Applications > Office 365.

   The Office 365 apps page appears.

2. In the Name column, click the app that contains the team that you want to restore.

   The app page appears.

3. On the Teams tab, select the check box for the team that contains the items that you want to restore, click the Restore button, and then select Restore items.

   The team restore page appears.

4. In the Name column, click the name of the channel that contains the items that you want to restore.

   The items that you can restore appear.

   Tip: To search for data to restore, use the search box in the upper-right area of the page. When you click the search box, more search capabilities appear.

5. In the Files row, click on the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

6. From the Restore destination list, select File location.

7. From the Server list, select a server to restore the files to.

8. In the Path box, click the Browser button, and then select the location to restore the files to.

9. Click Submit.
