Restoring a File of a OneDrive for Business User to a File Location

You can restore a OneDrive for Business user to a file location.


  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

    The Office 365 apps page appears.

  2. Click the app that contains the user.

    The app page appears.

  3. On the Users tab, select the user that you are restoring a file for.

  4. Click Restore, and then click Restore files.

  5. Select the files that you want to restore.

    You can also search for a file from the Search box.

  6. Click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  7. From the Restore destination list, select File Location.

  8. Under File location, specify the location to restore the file to:

    • From the Server list, select the server.

    • In the Path box, click Browse, and then select the location.

  9. Click Submit.

Tip: To search for data to restore, use the search box in the upper-right area of the page. When you click the search box, more search capabilities appear.
