Add Access Nodes for Exchange Online

Updated

Add at least 1 access node for Exchange Online. For high availability (which is recommended for the first full backup), use 2 or more access nodes. Access nodes run backups and other operations.

Note:

For modern authentication, you must configure Windows Remote Management (WinRM) settings on the access node for PowerShell operations using the registry key settings below that connect to Azure AD using modern authentication.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WinRM\Client
