If your tenants reside on multiple domains, you can restrict autodiscovery and backup of users to a specific domain or domains.
You can restrict autodiscovery and backup as shown in the following table:
Number of domains | Domains to restrict autodiscovery and backup to | Domains to enter |

One domain | One domain | Leave the Domains setting empty. You do not need to perform the procedure. |
Multiple domains | Include all of them | Leave the Domains setting empty. You do not need to perform the procedure. |
Multiple domains | Include only one | Enter the domain that you want to restrict autodiscovery and backup to. |
Multiple domains | Include more than one but not all | Leave the Domains setting empty. You do not need to perform the procedure. Instead, create an AD group per domain (static or dynamic). Populate the AD group according to the domain, and then add each AD group as content. |
Procedure
From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.
The Office 365 apps page appears.
In the Name column, click the app to restrict autodiscovery and backup for.
The app page appears.
On the Configuration tab, In the General section, for Domain, click Add.
Enter the domain or domains, and then click the add button
