Implementing Common Access Card Authentication

You can configure the Web Console and Command Center computers in a CommCell environment to recognize a user's Common Access Card (CAC) and the associated PIN, to enable CAC authentication.

Procedure

1. Import a certificate authority root certificate using the Commvault certificate tool.

   • Windows

   • Linux

2. Enable CAC authentication:

   • In a non-LDAP environment, configure additional settings in the CommCell Console to match with the data in the user's CAC card.

   • In an LDAP environment, specify the CN values in the domain controller to match with the card users.
