Migrating a Case from the Case Manager in Compliance Search to the Case Manager in the Command Center

An admin user or a master user can migrate a case from the Case Manager in Compliance Search to the Case Manager in the Command Center by using the Migrate Legacy Case app.

Note: Only Exchange Mailbox (Classic) Agent data and Exchange mailbox (Journal mailbox) data is migrated.

Before You Begin

  • If you have not yet set up the Case Manager in the Command Center, see Getting Started with the Case Manager.

  • Download the Migrate Legacy Case app from the Commvault Store.

  • Disable the install update schedules as well as disable the existing backup job schedules for all the legacy cases that you want to migrate.

  • Ensure that the backup jobs are complete and that the data is content indexed for all the legacy cases that you want to migrate.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Web Console.

  2. Click Apps.

    The My Apps page appears.

  3. Click Migrate Legacy Case.

    The Migrate Legacy Case report page appears.

  4. Select the checkbox for the case that you want to migrate, and then click Migrate.

    The Plan Details dialog box appears.

  5. From the Server Plan list, select the server plan to use for the case.

  6. From the Data Classification Plan list, select the data classification plan to use for the case.

  7. Click OK.
